SINCLAIRVILLE — Madison Ring had eight aces, five kills and two blocks to lead Cassadaga Valley to a 24-26, 25-18, 25-18, 25-13 nonleague girls volleyball victory over Fredonia.

Shyanne Carlstrom added seven kills while Allison Wakelee had 21 assists and two aces for the Cougars (6-1, 3-1 CCAA Division 2 West).

Jordan Lucas had seven aces and eight kills while Erin Schrantz added six aces and 10 digs for the Hillbillies (0-6, 0-4 CCAA Division 1 West).

Fredonia won the jayvee match.

EAGLES RALLY IN 5

ELLICOTTVILLE — Allison Rowland had 11 kills, 15 digs and three aces as Ellicottville outlasted Pine Valley 23-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-20 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division action.

Tristin Bomberry had nine kills and four blocks; Natalee Leeper had 19 assists, four kills and three digs; and Dalayla Alexander had 18 digs and five aces for the Eagles (2-3, 2-1).

Pine Valley fell to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the league.
