Olean junior JoJo Gibbons hit .476 this season en route to being named the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 West softball Player of the Year.

Gibbons was joined on the First Team by junior teammates Kiley Anastasia and Makenna Pancio.

League champion Fredonia had three players on the First Team. Seniors Maddy Marsh and Nevaeh Zadzilka were joined by junior Lila Cameron.

Section VI Class C champion Falconer four players recognized on the First Team. Senior Nicole Youngberg was joined by juniors Ashton Beckerink and Tess Spangenburg as well as sophomore Kayla Lynn.

Dunkirk had three players on the First Team, led by Pitcher of the Year Ashley Gotowka with a 1.23 earned run average and 144 strikeouts. Marauders junior Jamaladie Pacheco and sophomore Courtney Zatorski joined Gotowka.

Southwestern senior Sofia Genareo and junior Allie Durnell rounded out the First Team.

Fredonia’s Jesse Beers and Tim Wright were named Coaches of the Year while Jamestown won the Team Sportsmanship Award.
