Swanson Fires 3-Over 39 In Bemus Point
BEMUS POINT — Darien Swanson’s Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association golf season is off to a fine start.
So, too, is that of the Maple Grove team.
Wednesday afternoon was just the most recent example.
Swanson, representing Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Sherman, fired a 3-over 39 for medalist honors, while the Red Dragons ran their record to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the division with two victories at Bemus Point Golf Course.
Leading the way for the Red Dragons was Drew Kelemen with a 43 as they downed Falconer, 30.5-24.5, and Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Sherman, 30.5-24.5. The Golden Falcons (1-3, 0-2), who were led by Curtis Hannon with a 41, defeated the Thunderbirds (1-4, 0-2), 30-25.
