Hoffman, Kelly Pace Fredonia In Victory Over Jamestown; Stockwell Leads Girls

Lucas Hoffman and Ryan Kelly fought their way through windy conditions at Moon Brook Country Club on Monday, leading Fredonia (1-0) to a 36.5-18.5 win over Jamestown (3-4, 2-3) in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 golf action.

Hoffman shot a 43 to take home medalist honors and Kelly was right behind with a 46 while Dawson Bird carded a 50.

Evan Maloney led the way for Jamestown with a 47.

The Red Raiders claimed the girls matchup, 28.5-26.5, behind Jenna Stockwell’s 49, which earned her medalist honors.

CeCe Eklum shot 55 and Avery Salvaggio 56 for Jamestown while Juli Spacciapolli fired a 55 to lead the Hillbillies.

ALLEGANY — Andy Rohrs fired a 29 over seven holes to lead Allegany-Limestone to a pair of Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 boys golf victories Friday at Birch Run Golf Club.

The Gators beat Ellicottville 35-20 and Randolph 32-23.

Owen Nelson led the Cardinals with a 33 while Jamison Caldwell and Christopher Calarco led the Eagles with 36s.

LAKEWOOD — Max Vaughn was the medalist with a 36 to lead Southwestern to a pair of Division 1 victories Friday at Maplehurst Country Club.

The Trojans beat Maple Grove 34-21 and Cassadaga Valley 40-15.

The Red Dragons also beat the Cougars 39.5-15.5

Ryan Lockwood led Maple Grove with a 41 and Ace Pierce led Cassadaga Valley with a 52.
