Maple Grove Serves Its Way Past Brocton

Eliza Dawes had 14 aces, Tessa Reed had 11 and Erin Mansfield had nine as Maple Grove swept Brocton, 25-5, 25-14, 25-6 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association girls volleyball action Friday.

Abby Harrell led the Red Dragons (4-2, 4-2) with four kills.

Jena Vacanti had two blocks and two digs while Juli Smith had a block and two digs for the Bulldogs (0-6, 0-6).

OLSON LEADS T’BIRDS

MAYVILLE — Ava Olson had eight assists, six kills and four digs to lead Chautauqua Lake past Maple Grove, 25-14, 25-14, 25-23.

Lily Woodis had eight kills; Jenna Waters chipped in four aces and 18 digs; and Mallory Morrison had six assists, five digs and two kills for the Thunderbirds (5-1).

Tessa Reed led the Red Dragons (3-2, 3-2) with five digs and four kills; Emma Foley had nine blocks and five aces; and Sam Snow had eight assists and six blocks.

Chautauqua Lake won the jayvee matchup.
