Following are the Week 4 results from the Northwest Arena Winter Backyard Curling Leagues, sponsored by Dot’s Gift Boutique:

MONDAY LEAGUE
Fruit of the Brooms remained on top and increased their lead as they were the only team to go 2-0 this week by knocking off Legion of Broom, 39-22, and Curling Me Softly, 39-31. They were led by Ed Cramer.
Shoeless Joe’s Pub defeated 4 Below Haggy’s Bar & Grille, 58-53, in double overtime with Gannon Jackson leading the way. Sonic Sliders knocked off Shoeless Joe’s, 37-35, as Rodney Morganstern was the outstanding curler. Curling Me Softly defeated Scuba Crew, 32-29, with an outstanding combined effort from Julie Fye and Cindy Wilson. Legion of Broom bounced back with a 37-24 win over Tim Horton’s with stellar performance by Todd Frangione. Gemstones got their first win of the year as they knocked off 4 Below Haggy’s Bar & Grille, 53-39, with strong play from Michelle Newman and Collette Keith. Scuba Crew opened their night, with a victory over CurlRona, 53-38, thanks to strong play from Tony Stellato. CurlRona avenged their earlier loss with a 38-28 win over Gemstones as Jade Barber showed her curling prowess. Scott Roberts threw the deciding stones in a win over Sonic Sliders, 36-32.

Short & Curly remains at the top of their division as they have improved their record to 6-2 by defeating On the Rocks, 35-31, and The Outsliders, 31-22. Sam Stewart and John Fisk continued their hot start to the season. Stone Cold moved into third place as they went 2-0 on the week with wins over Rolling Stones, 49-26, and Quaranteam, 42-29,, with Chuck Caldwell and Jon Blanchard leading the way.
Rolling Stones defeated On the Rocks, 41-30, as Leslie Disbro stuck it to the Rocks. The Outsliders defeated Mary’s Smooth Red Curlers, 29-23, as Kyle Rensel continued to show his curling prowess. Mary’s Curlers recorded a win over The Don Curleones, 41-32, with their top curlers Dave Foti and Sam Lisciandro. Chad VanEvery led his team to victory as Quaranteam also defeated The Don Curleones, 54-47.

Rocks on, Rocks off climbed to the top of their division, as they defeated the Pepsi Banger-Z, 39-27, and Curl Power, 50-36. James Cama and Steve Anderson were the outstanding curlers. Hindy’s Hurlers captured two victories over TRCurlers, 33-27, and the Pepsi Rockstar-Z, 41-39, behind Tim Hurley’s terrific curling stick work. Also going 2-0, Casey’s Enterprise defeated Curl Power, 52-49, and the Merrill Lynch Cirls, 44-34, with Casey Windoft and Mike Barber showing their curling prowess.
TRCurlers knocked off the Cirls earlier, 49-38, as Bruce Main was the first star.

Lewis & Lewis II earned two victories over the Ice Men, 42-35, and Lewis & Lewis I, 37-35, in the battle of the Panebianco’s with George and Zach Panebianco being the top curlers. The Brush Off went 2-0 on the night as they defeated the Sky Rocketeers, 59-27, and Curls Gone Wild, 42-30, with Nick Kahanic and Steve Shelters leading the way. Paving Ice elevated their record to .500 with wins over Lewis & Lewis I, 30-25, and R2 J2, 37-20, as they received outstanding play from Kevin Gastol and Justin Swanson.
Sky Rocketeers bounced back with a victory over Ice Men, 37-32, as Dave Barber led the way.

Bruce Dudgeon and Rex McCray continued delivering their hot stones as they led league-leading Dot’s Gift Boutique to another 2-0 week by defeating Sub Zero, 39-24, and Frozme Stone, 45-38). Home Despots kept pace with Dot’s by recording two wins as they bested Curl Power, 47-26, and Lemon Pepper, 29-28, with Ryan Roush and Todd Singleton showing their curling prowess. Going 1-1 this week were Stones of Fury as they defeated 12 oz. Curlers, 40-37, being led by Louis Buchman and Lemon Pepper knocking off Stones of Fury, 27-26, as Carol Wright was the smooth curler.

DEPPAS-LEGEND GROUP FRIDAY LEAGUE
The Chestnuts earned a sweep over Nikki’s Team, 43-42, and 4 Below Haggy’s Bar & Grille, 49-41, as they were led by Barb and Mike Lyons. Tracey’s Dog picked up two wins over Freezerburn, 41-36, and the Seminar Group, 42-33, with Nick Lucas being the top curler.
Nikki’s Team also knocked off the Seminar Group, 31-25, as they received outstanding play from Laura Snow and Nikki Hinderleider. Freezerburn topped Sweeping Beauties, 49-30, with Steve Tanner being their outstanding curler. Bemus Boulders recorded a win over 4 Below Haggy’s Bar & Grille, 46-37, as Judi Swanson led the Boulders. Bottom-Up defeated the Boulders, 40-28, as Mike Peters had some outstanding stickwork to lead his team to victory.
