Casselman’s Goal In 94th Minute Stands Up For Trojans

Cora Casselman scored in the 14th minute of overtime to send Southwestern to a 2-1 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association West Division victory over Allegany-Limestone on Tuesday night at Charles A. Lawson Field.

Brynne Conley scored the Trojans’ first goal unassisted in the 42nd minute.

Heading into overtime tied at 1-1, Casselman tallied from Conley four minutes into the second 10-minute extra session.

Reece Beaver made 10 saves in net for Southwestern (7-4-0, 7-2-0).

Allegany-Limestone fell to (2-6-2, 2-5-2).

HILLBILLIES BLANK JAMESTOWN

FREDONIA — Ava Rukavina and Annie Gondek each scored a goal as Fredonia blanked Jamestown, 2-0, in West Division play.

Rukavina scored from Sophia Gullo before Gondek tallied from Emily Timmerman.

Kinnan Finnegan made 10 saves in net for the Hillbillies (5-2-2, 5-2-2).

Haileigh Rhodes made eight saves for the Red Raiders (0-6-2, 0-5-2.

CARDINALS BREEZE, 7-0

RANDOLPH — Natalie Philp and Kyra Pence each scored twice while Samantha English added a goal and five assists to lead Randolph to a 7-0 shutout of Franklinville in the East Division.

Philp scored from English twice while Pence scored from English once and scored unassisted in a 4-0 first half.

After the break, Caitlin Park scored from English, Haleigh Smith scored from English and English tallied from Ashley Crouse.

Miranda Waterman made 10 saves in net for the Cardinals (5-2-0, 5-2-0).

Franklinville fell to 3-5-0 overall and 3-4-0 in the league.

RODGERS EARNS SHUTOUT

FREWSBURG — Cadence Rodgers made 11 saves in the shutout as Frewsburg beat Silver Creek/Forestville, 2-0, in the Central Division.

Raena Bird scored from Kendal Sohl in the 42nd minute before Tyra Clark tallied from Alexandra Hultberg in the 54th minute for the Bears (10-0-0, 7-0-0).

Silver Creek/Forestville fell to 1-7-0 overall and 1-6-0 in the league.

EAGLES BLANK WARRIORS

ELLICOTTVILLE — Brooke Butler had a pair of assists to lead Ellicottville past Salamanca, 3-0, in the East Division.

Mandy Hurlburt scored from Butler in the eighth minute, Emilee Ruiz scored from Butler in the 58th minute and Alysa Williams scored unassisted in the 60th minute for the Eagles (10-0-0, 8-0-0).

Jenna Hadley made three saves for the shutout.

Makenzie Oakes made 15 saves for the Warriors (3-3-0, 3-3-0).

ROUSH EARNS FIFTH SHUTOUT

BROCTON — Taylor Donato’s goal stood up as the winner as Chautauqua Lake beat Westfield/Brocton, 1-0, in the Central Division.

Donato tallied from Emma Lindsey in the 21st minute.

Hailey Roush made eight saves in her fifth shutout for the Thunderbirds (4-2-1, 4-2-1).

Angel Busch made 10 saves for the Wolverines (5-2-1, 4-2-1).

DAVIS, MEDER LEAD F/CV

DUNKIRK — Ali Davis and Sarah Meder each had a goal and an assist to lead Falconer/Cassadaga Valley to a 4-0 shutout win over Dunkirk in the West Division.

Abigail Sweeney scored unassisted, Kayla Lynn tallied from Meder, Davis scored from Michaela Olson and Meder tallied from Davis for the Golden Cougars (5-5-0, 5-3-0).

Grace Lundmark made three saves in the victory.

The Marauders fell to 0-8-1 overall and 0-7-1 in the league.
