In anticipation of a 2021 baseball season, the Chautauqua County Baseball Umpires Association will be holding instructional classes for anyone interested in becoming a certified baseball umpire. Those completing the course will be eligible to officiate high school baseball games, along with any summer youth baseball. Classes will begin on Monday, Nov. 2, and continue for approximately eight sessions.

There is no cost for these classes, and they are available not only for individuals wanting to become high school certified, but also for anyone interested in just working summer youth games, such as Little League, Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken and travel league baseball.
