ASHVILLE — The team of Dave Kolstee, Jim Bentley, Dan Kell and John Thayer combined for a 147 to win the Wednesday Morning League end-of-season tournament at Timber Creek Golf Course.

In second place was the team of Darrel Gruber, Don Melson, Larry Maloy and Paul Hopkins with a 150, followed by the team of Howie Moore, Steve Martins, Randy Maynard and Ron Rog with a 151.

LAKEWOOD — Tim Sandberg shot a gross 37 to lead the Youngsville Area Senior Golf League at Maplehurst Country Club.

Bob Yucha was one shot back with a 39. Bill Young was in third place after shooting a 39.

Barry Crist’s 31 topped the net scores. Young and Yucha followed with a 32 and 33, respectively.

Gaylan Critzer had two birdies, while Jim Polach, Crist, Bob Holt, John Blum, Rod Korbar, Bill Kibbey, Don Melson, Ray Adams and Ron Brown each had one.

MAGNOLIA — Cheryl Johnson’s 37 led Class A of the Wednesday Morning Ladies League at Willow Run Golf Course.

Roxie Maytum had a net 28 and Doris Large hit 11 putts in Class A.

In Class B, Mimi Huffman had a 47, Kathy Yaw had a net 26 and Judy Young hit 19 putts.

Last week, Marsha Gastol had low gross with a 42, Large low net with 28 and Johnson had the fewest putts with 15 to lead Class A.

In Class B, Pat Fincher had a low gross 46, Joyce Brasted low net with a 28, while Rosemarie Wilder had 16 putts.
