Michael Davenport, Daniel Mulamba, Bernard Edwards and Raheem “Radio” Singleton of the Jamestown Jackals headline a group of players and staff who are conducting a “Playtime with the Pros” at Jackson-Taylor Park in Jamestown this week. The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to noon through Friday, will provide free play options and basketball instruction with an underlying message that encourages positive lifestyle choices. At the park, participants will be able to choose from a variety of sports and activities. Safety precautions will be taken to minimize risk and encourage a good time. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, water bottle and mask. The event is funded through the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Youth Sports and Recreation COVID-19 Fund Grant. In photo above, youngsters participated in a clinic last Saturday at The Hub at Praise Fellowship in Russell, Pennsylvania. That clinic will be held again this Saturday from 8:45-10:45 a.m. for ages 6-12 and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for ages 13-18. The fee for the clinic is $20.
