The Lakewood YMCA Starz gymnastics Level 7 team of Grace Lennon and Abbey Maloney took first place at the recent Luck of the Gymnast Invitational earlier this month at the Olean YMCA.

Lennon competed in the Junior age group and had a 9.25 floor exercise while Maloney, in the Senior age group, had a 9.1 on bars, 9.4 on beam and 9.55 on floor exercise to take first place in all-around.

Xcel Silver Brianna Hetrick scored a 9.0 on vault in the Senior age group.

Level 4 Vysali Bommireddipalli had a 9.0 floor exercise in the Senior B age group; Presley Haines had an 8.1 on bars in the Senior B age group; and Addison Calimeri had an 8.25 on beam in the Senior A age group.

Level 5 Allison Latona had an 8.55 on vault in the Senior age group while McKenzie Wadsworth had a 9.1 on vault and placed second in all-around in the Senior age group.

Level 3 Leah Dole had a 9.0 on bars, 9.15 on beam and 9.35 on vault to take first place in all-around; Aubree Evans had an 8.7 on vault; Amelia Seiberg had an 8.6 on vault; Peyton Edson had a 9.05 on vault; Alanna Byrd had an 8.9 on vault; and Delaney White had an 8.45 on vault.

Level 2 Addison Phelps had a 9.1 on vault in the Junior A age group; Taylor Curtis had a 7.9 on vault in the Senior B age group; Molly Colburn had a 9.2 on beam in the Senior B age group; and Kamille Garza had a 9.05 on beam in the Junior A age group.

In late February, the team competed at the Corry Invitational.

At Level 7, Lennon placed first on vault (8.7), first on bars (7.65), third on beam (7.4), first on floor exercise (9.1) and second in all-around (32.85).

At Level 5, Wadsworth was third on bars (7.0), third on beam (8.75) and fourth in all-around (30.55).

At Level 4, Samantha Anderson was second on bars (7.2), fourth on floor exercise (7.75) and fourth in all-around (29.75); Calimeri was third on floor exercise (7.85); Haines had a 7.15 on floor exercise; and Bommireddipalli was sixth on vault (7.8), first on bars (8.0), fifth on beam (7.9) and second in all-around (31.4).

At Level 3, Evans was third on vault (9.5), third on bars (8.0), fifth on beam (7.95), fifth on floor exercise (8.7) and third in all-around (34.15); Edson was fifth on vault (9.45), first on beam (8.6) and eighth in all-around (33.35); White was sixth on vault (9.4), 10th on beam (7.45) and 16th in all-around (32.05); Byrd was ninth on beam (7.5) and 17th in all-around (29.0); Seiberg was fourth on vault (9.6), second on bars (8.7) and ninth in all-around (32.6); and Dole was 16th in all-around (30.35).

At Level 2, Curtis had an 8.7 on vault and was ninth in all-round (27.95); Phelps was seventh on vault (8.55), first on floor exercise (8.7) and sixth in all-around (31.15); and Garza was first on vault (9.5), fourth on bars (7.3), sixth on beam (7.6), second on floor exercise (8.6) and fourth in all-around (33.0).
