Rebels Complete Weekend Sweep

The Jamestown Rebels completed their fourth weekend sweep of the season Saturday with a 6-1 North American Hockey League East Division victory over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights.

Six different players found the net for Jamestown (18-25-1-2), led by its top line of captain Eric Olson, Nick Siffringer and Valentino Passarelli.

All three players were plus-3 on the night with Passarelli having a goal and two assists. Olson and Siffringer each had a goal and an assist. Defenseman Seth Bergeron also had a goal and two assists while Carter Korpi and Jordan Cormier added the other goals.

Noah West was in net for the second straight night for the Rebels, turning aside 26 of 27 shots he faced.

Alex Contey stopped 16 of 19 shots he faced in two periods while Zach Stejskal turned aside 13 of 16 shots he faced in one period of action for the Knights (20-20-4-1).

Jamestown returns to action Friday and Saturday against the Johnstown Tomahawks at 1st Summit Arena at Cambria County War Memorial.
