Nine Area Wrestlers Earn Wild-Card Berths To States
Nine wrestlers from the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association have earned wild-card entries to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association wrestling championships Feb. 28-29 at Times Union Center in Albany.
Included in that group, which was announced Wednesday, are Martin Ohlsson Chautauqua Lake, 99 pounds; Brayden Newman, Falconer, 106; Dave Ball, Fredonia, 113; Luke Tomlinson, Maple Grove, 132; Bryce Baglia, Falconer, 152; Gavin Kulp, Olean, 160; Ceric Kristan, Fredonia, 182; Alex Christy, Fredonia, 220; and Jake Skinner, Fredonia, 285.
