Paige Stands Out Close To Home
Former Jamestown High School basketball standout Jaysean Paige showed off his talents at Erie Insurance Arena on Tuesday night, helping the Maine Red Claws of the NBA G League to a 138-126 victory over the Erie Bayhawks. In a little more than 18 minutes, the 6-foot-2 guard scored 16 points on 7 of 12 shooting from the floor, including 2 of 3 from beyond the arc; grabbed three rebounds, and had two assists and one steal before a crowd of 1,972. In 20 games played this season, Paige is averaging 9.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists for the Red Claws, who are 16-6 and in second place in the East Division.
