Jamestown Fifth At ECIC Swimming Championships

BUFFALO — Jamestown finished fifth out of 13 schools with 182 points at the Erie County Interscholastic Conference Class AA Championships on Saturday at Sweet Home High School.

Kyle Dean was the Red Raiders’ lone champion, taking the 50-yard freestyle in 22.39 seconds.

Dean was also second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.61 seconds, less than .3 seconds behind winner Luke Sapio of Orchard Park.

Jamestown’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Brennan Roehmholdt, Jacob Anderson, Joseph Roehmholdt and Dean took second with a time of 1:32.57, less than a second behind the winners from Williamsville North.

Brennan Roehmholdt, Jaydon James, Joseph Roehmholdt and Dean then finished second in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:24.71, less than two seconds behind the winners from Orchard Park.
