Bane Takes Third At Ken-Ton
TONAWANDA — The Jamestown wrestling team turned in outstanding performances at the Ken-Ton Tournament on Saturday.
Caleb Bane, wrestling at 285 pounds, posted a 3-1 record to place third; and Taylor Crofoot (113) and Michael Houghton (285) each went 3-2 to finish fourth in their respective weight classes.
The Red Raiders finished ninth with 47 points while Southwestern was fifth with 101 points.
Niagara Falls won the team title with 174.5 points while Hamburg’s Dylan Collins claimed the Aggregate Pin Award and his teammate Ryan Forrest was the Most Outstanding Wrestler.
ELLIS TAKES SECOND
GOWANDA — Salamanca’s Trevor Ellis took second place in the 126-pound weight class at Saturday’s Gowanda Round Robin Tournament.
The Warriors Malaki Harrison (138 pounds) and Lucas McKenna (145 pounds) each took fifth place.
