Michael, Christensen Lead Jamestown Past Dunkirk

FREDONIA — Brandon Michael rolled a 196-184-213-593 and Kyle Christensen added a 181-179-224-584 as Jamestown beat Dunkirk 3-1 in season-opening Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 bowling at Lucky Lanes on Monday.

The Red Raiders had a team linescore of 936-835-847-2,618 while the Marauders finished with a 709-818-853-2,380.

Colton Cappalino rolled games of 189 and 182, Riley Piazza threw a 188 and Zach Ryberg had a 182 in the win.

For Dunkirk, Robert Koslowski had a 187-202-555 and Trevor Skelly rolled a 172-235-551.

In girls action, Dunkirk swept Jamestown 4-0 with a linescore of 864-830-876-2,570.

Makayla Pasierb led the Marauders with a 181-201-173-555, Rachel Glowniak had a 167-178-201-546, Olivia Corbett spilled a 196-169-178-543 and Mariah Glowniak had a 180-177-505. Tayler Skelly chipped in a 176 game.

The Red Raiders finished with a 753-699-639-2,091 led by Abbie Derby’s 160-200-516. Emily Ryberg chipped in a 193 game and Ashlin Nelson had a 180 game.

FREDONIA SWEEPS

FREDONIA — Fredonia’s boys and girls teams opened their seasons with 4-0 victories over Chautauqua Lake in Division action at Lucky Lanes.

Sam Kawski had a 236-223-215-674, Jacob Patterson rolled a 234-248-664 and Jacob Marsh cracked a 238-621 for the Hillbillies boys, who had a team linescore of 1,010-1,070-966-3,046. Bryson Kolassa chipped in a 230 game.

Kris Snyder had a 159-450 for the Thunderbirds, who had a team linescore of 462-499-463-1,424.

In the girls match, Fredonia had a linescore of 649-617-712-1,978 led by Gillian Reed’s 188-186-521.

Chautauqua Lake had a linescore of 358-433-353-1,144 series.

KNIGHTS TOP RANDOLPH

HANOVER — The Silver Creek boys and girls both found victories with sweeps over Randolph at Hanover Lanes.

For the Black Knights boys, who had a final linescore of 816-795-851-2,462, they were led by Daniel Paterson, who bowled a 204-200-550 while Nate Barlette-Dye had games of 182 and 227. Jeff DeBergalis chipped in a 183 game.

The Cardinals boys were led by Alex Finch, who spilled a 171-157-168-496. Kameron Finch added a 173 game.

The Silver Creek girls had a linescore of 547-551-597-1,695 while Randolph had a 492-536-455-1,483.

Silver Creek was led by Emily Barlette-Dye, who rolled a 161-160-169-490 while Briana Kenjockety had a 159-149-161-469. Leneya Olsen added a 160 game.

Randolph’s Hannah Wheeler had a 125-179-149 for a 453 series.

BULLDOGS

SWEEP HORNETS

Brocton started off its season with a sweep of Forestville at Lucky Lanes.

Brocton ended with a linescore of 566-588-587-1,741, which was enough to beat Forestville’s 533-572-466-1,570.

The Bulldogs were led by Savanna Krystofiak, who had a 176-447 while Janelle Grigelevich bowled a 146 game.

The Hornets were led by Jack Frost, who had a 166-153-434.
