Lassiter’s Decision Highlights Portville Wrestling Victory
PORTVILLE — Jayden Lassiter’s victory at 170 pounds highlighted Portville’s 54-22 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 wrestling win over Randolph on Tuesday evening.
After a scoreless first period, Lassiter chose down and picked up a 2-point reversal in the second period. The Cardinals’ Ryan Inkley started down in the third period and picked up an escape point in the final minute, but was unable to even the bout in a 2-1 loss.
For Randolph, freshmen Ryan Carpenter (285 pounds) and Clayton Crouse (106 pounds) picked up their first varsity wins.
