Holiday Haul Underway Downtown

The seventh annual Community Holiday Haul began Thursday morning in front of the Jamestown Cycle Shop on Harrison Street. Keith Martin, Northwest Arena executive director, will continue to collect nonperishable food items and supplies, as well as monetary donations, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Suggested donations include: fruit and vegetables; pasta, noodles, potatoes and rice; sauces and tomatoes; 100 percent juices; laundry detergent (All or ERA); Dawn dish soap; plastic spoons, forks and knives; paper towels, napkins and plates; and gift cards to grocery stores. Proceeds will benefit St. Susan Center.
