The Lakewood YMCA Starz Gymnastics program hosted an invitational Nov. 2-3 to raise money for the team’s program and to buy new equipment.

Pennsylvania teams from Brookville, Corry, Franklin, Greensburg, Meadville, Titusville and Warren joined New York teams from Cortland and the Twin Tiers (Olean/Limestone/Bradford, Pa.) at the competition.

Twenty-three girls from the Lakewood team also competed.

The Starz Level 2 team finished in third place, Level 3 finished in fourth place and the Xcel Silver team took third place.

Level 3 Leah Dole placed second on the vault with a 9.3, first on the floor with a 9.15 and first in all-around with a 35.25 in the 10-year-old group.

Level 2 Kamille Garza placed first on the vault in the 6-7-year-old group with an 8.7.

Level 2 Molly Colburn placed first on the beam in the 11-and-over group with a 9.1.

Level 2 Danielle Mincarelli placed second on the team with a 9.05 and third on the vault with a 9.0 in the 11-and-over group.

Level 3 Aubree Evans placed first on the beam in the 9-year-old group with an 8.1.

Xcel Gold Abby Monroe placed third on the floor in the 13-and-over group with a 9.0.

Level 4 Vysali Bommiredipalli placed first on bars in the 12-and-over group with an 8.8.

Level 7 Grace Lennon placed second on the vault in the 12-13-year-old group with a 9.2.
