Jamestown Bowling Company will be hosting its Holiday Sweepers event for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day.

Bowling will start at 10 a.m., at a cost of $25. All bowlers will roll three games across six lanes, skipping a pair to the right. The top eight bowlers with handicaps will bowl single-elimination matches until a winner is determined. Handicap is based on 80 percent of 220, using the highest average from the previous two seasons unless one is 10 pins over for 21 games this season. If there is no average for the previous two seasons, one can use his average for this season if he has 21 or more games. If one doesn’t have a sanctioned average one will have to bowl scratch. This is a USBC-certified event, with jackpots and scratch brackets available.

First place prize is $250, second $150, third and fourth $80, and fifth through eighth $40. Call 483-1818 to reserve a spot.

Jamestown Bowling Company will be hosting the Thanksgiving Adult-Junior 9-pin No Tap event on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 9:30 a.m.

The cost is $15 per team, which includes three games and shoe rentals. Trophies will be awarded for each division, 11-and-under as well as 12-and-older.

Handicap for everyone will be based on what each bowls that day.
