Falconer, Southwestern Eliminated In Class C2

PORTVILLE — Hailey Keim had eight kills, five aces and three digs while Laura Wilhelm added eight kills as No. 3 Portville swept No. 7 Falconer 25-13, 25-9, 25-16 in Section VI Class C2 semifinal girls volleyball action Monday evening.

Tori Unverdorben chipped in four kills, four aces and seven digs while Olivia Emley had 13 digs and two aces for the Panthers, who will take on No. 8 Allegany-Limestone in the 8 p.m. final Wednesday at Jamestown Community College.

Emily Melquist led the Golden Falcons with four kills and eight digs; Serena Camarata had 15 digs and four assists; and Ava Fenton had five assists and six digs.

GATORS PREVAIL

GOWANDA — Maura Vossler had 18 kills and two blocks while Cameron Riordon dished out 41 assists and 11 aces as No. 8 Allegany-Limestone won an epic 25-18, 25-22, 20-25, 15-25, 25-15 Class C2 semifinal over No. 4 Gowanda.

Chloee LaCroix chipped in 22 digs and an ace while Madison Smith had 10 kills and two aces for the Gators, who will take on No. 3 Portville in the 8 p.m. final Wednesday at Jamestown Community College.

TROJANS SWEPT BY EDEN

EDEN — Eve Musielak had 13 kills and Emalee Ballou chipped in 12 kills as No. 2 Eden swept No. 6 Southwestern 25-10, 25-18, 25-12 in Section VI Class C1 semifinal action Monday evening.

Lainey Overhoff added eight kills and Emma Sutfin had 24 digs for the Raiders, who will meet No. 1 Akron in the 6 p.m. final Wednesday at Jamestown Community College.

FREDONIA ELIMINATED

AKRON — Madison Kaczmerak had nine kills and seven blocks as No. 1 Akron topped No. 5 Fredonia 25-16, 25-20, 25-15 in Class C1 semifinal action.

Jesse Jonathan had three kills and 17 assists while Elsie Logan chipped in three kills and six aces for the Tigers, who will meet No. 2 Eden in the 6 p.m. final Wednesday at Jamestown Community College.
