Spillane, Foley Spark MG To Victory Over Silver Creek
Tristan Spillane found the back of the net four times to go along with an assist, and Caleby Foley recorded his 60th career goal and added a pair of helpers as Maple Grove downed Silver Creek, 7-1, in a Central Division boys soccer game Wednesday.
Nick Golando added a goal and an assist, Sam Eimiller had a goal and Kevin Ruhlman chipped in an assist for the Red Dragons (14-1, 8-1).
Sam Cummings made six saves.
BEARS BLANK PANTHERS
FREWSBURG — Devin Wolfe and Zack Carr each had a goal and an assist to propel Frewsburg to a 3-0 Central Division victory over Pine Valley.
Nick Mason tallied the other Bears’ goal on an assist by Nathan McDonald.
Frewsburg improves to 3-8-3 overall and 3-5-1 in the division.
TROJANS ROLL
Seven different players tallied goals as Southwestern rolled to a 7-0 victory over Falconer/Cassadaga Valley.
Simon Pirrello led the way with a goal and an assist, while Marcus Kautzman, McKay Young, Oliver Hagel, Max Vaughn, Declan Brown and Miracle Berakah added a goal. Spencer Kane was credited with an assist.
The win raised Southwestern’s record to 9-5 overall and 8-0 in the division.
WESTFIELD/BROCTON WINS AGAIN
NORTH COLLINS — Westfield/Brocton improved to 15-0 overall and 9-0 in the Central Division with a 4-1 win over North Collins.
Cooper Harris, Jordan Czak, Gabe Morello and Jack Wolfe each scored a goal, Joshua Heim added two assists, and Darien Swanson and Cole Holland chipped in one apiece.
Anthony Puntillo scored North Collins’ lone goal on an assist from Mitchell Warsaw. The hosts fell to 4-7 and 4-5.
FREDONIA BREEZES
FREDONIA – The Fredonia Hillbillies blanked Olean, 6-0, in a West Division game.
The hosts, who had 15 shots on goal, are now 5-4-2 overall and 5-2-2 in the division.
TALBOT SHINES FOR GATORS
ELLICOTTVILLE — Bryant Talbot tallied two goals and added a pair of assists to spark Allegany-Limestone to a 4-0 victory over Ellicottville in an East Division game.
Michael Wolfgang and Shane McMullen both found the back of the net for the Gators (11-2, 7-0). Zach Luce was credited with an assist.
CARDS POST SHUTOUT
PORTVILLE — Randolph ran its record to 8-6 overall and 5-2 in the East Division following a 2-0 victory over Portville.
