Red Dragons Rally Past Trojans In Volleyball

Maple Grove (5-6, 5-6) came back from a first-set loss to claim a 18-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-14 win over host Southwestern (8-6, 6-5) in CCAA Central play.

Erin Mansfield grabbed 14 assists and 11 digs; Bre Hill 20 kills and 16 digs; and Kelsey Tarbrake had 16 digs and one ace for the winners.

Arrington Restivo had three digs, 27 assists, six points and one ace for Southwestern; Lauren Cotter 14 digs, seven kills, five blocks and 10 points; Megan Cotter ten digs, seven kills, five blocks, three points and one ace; while Maddy Dubois added 10 kills, four digs, two blocks and two points for Southwestern.

Southwestern won the jayvee match.

PANAMA ROLLS

PANAMA — Panama (14-0, 11-0) rolled to a 25-15, 25-14, 25-10 CCAA Central Division volleyball win over Sherman (1-10, 1-10) thanks to 10 kills, one block, four digs, seven points and two aces by Natalie Angeletti.

Kylie Schnars added 15 kills and three blocks; and Maddie Johnson 21 assists, four digs, 10 points and four aces for the winners.

Amaya Lewczyk had four kills, six assists, two blocks, seven digs and one ace for the Wildcats while Hayden Fisher added four kills, one block and six digs. Cora Goldberg had one kill, six assists and three aces in defeat.

EAGLES PREVAIL

SALAMANCA — Ellicottville picked up a 25-18, 25-7, 25-12 win over Salamanca.

Cyrene Moore had 12 kills and two blocks; Makenna Smith seven aces, three kills and seven assists; Heli Kongats five kills, Jenna Hadley five aces, four kills and two assists; while Reena Stuve added three aces for the Eagles.

T’BIRDS ROLL

MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Lake improved to 10-1 in Central Division action with a 25-13, 25-13, 25-7 win over Falconer (7-7, 7-4).

Sophie Woodis had seven kills, two aces and one block; Bre Hopkins five kills and two digs; Mollie Meadows five aces, three digs and nine assists; and Ava Olson two kills, six digs and 11 assists for the Thunderbirds.

Ava Fenton had seven digs and nine assists for Falconer, while Rachael Harper added five kills and three digs; Emily Melquist three kills and four digs; while Serena Camarata had two kills, one ace, two digs, three assists and one block.

OLEAN UPENDS C-LV

CATTARAUGUS — Olean was a 25-10, 26-24, 25-17 winner over Cattaraugus-Little Valley thanks to eight kills and eight blocks by Adele Dwaileebe.

Sophia Renaud had 22 assists, three kills and five digs while Destiny Custer added 17 digs and two aces in the win.

CARDS DOWN RAIDERS

RANDOLPH — Randolph topped Jamestown 25-14, 25-10, 25-21, thanks to 10 kills and two blocks by Alyssa Adams.

Jill Stahley added six digs, three aces, two blocks and three kills; Eve Adams had 15 assists; and Mya Abrams seven assists in the win.

NORTH COLLINS WINS

WESTFIELD–North Collins topped Westfield, 25-15, 25-18, 25-14.

PIRATES PREVAIL

BROCTON — Clymer topped Brocton, 25-11, 25-21, 25-22.
