Those advancing to Friday’s play are Jenna Hayes of Maple Grove; Alicia Kluck and Bernadette Gens of Fredonia; and Emily Bauer of Chautauqua Lake.

Hayes and Gens needed just one win to move on after receiving first-round byes. Hayes defeated Elise Sposato of Frewsburg, 6-2, 6-0, in the second round, while Gens knocked off Cece Eklum of Jamestown, 6-1, 6-1. Meanwhile, Kluck downed Ryann Hayes of Maple Grove, 6-0, 6-0, in the first round and upended Hiba Munir of Southwestern, 6-2, 6-1, in the second round; and Bauer knocked off Brooke Kettle of Salamanca, 6-1, 6-1, and Mackenzie Windus of Olean, 6-4, 6-1, to earn a berth in the semifinals.

The tournament continues today with doubles play. The semifinals and finals for both singles and doubles will be held on Friday.
