Three-Goal Outburst Lifts Salamanca 7-0

SALAMANCA — Three goals in the final eight minutes of the first half helped Salamanca roll to a 7-0 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division victory over Cattaraugus-Little Valley.

Mariah Downey opened the scoring from Rachel Chamberlain in the 18th minute before Chamberlain made it 2-0 on a 36-yard direct kick in the 32nd minute. A minute later, Ryleigh John scored from Chamberlain and three minutes after that, Aly Hill scored unassisted.

In the second half, Marla Warrior scored from Downey, Gahseni’de’ Hubbell scored from Grace Hodara and Sydnie John tallied from Hubbell.

Alexis Palmeri and Holly McGonigle split the shutout in net for the Warriors (5-3, 1-1).

Izzy Deliman made seven saves for the Timberwolves.

CARDINALS TIE PANTHERS

RANDOLPH — Tayla Keyes scored from Tyra Clark in the 20th minute of the first half for Randolph in a 1-1 East Division tie with Franklinville.

Miranda Waterman made eight saves in net for the Cardinals (1-5-1, 1-0-1).

WOLVERINES SURVIVE IN OT

NORTH COLLINS — Sheala Barresi scored both goals in overtime as Westfield/Brocton edged North Collins 2-0 in Central Division play.

Heather Johnston assisted on Barresi’s goal in the seventh minute of overtime before Katie Bodenmiller assisted on Barresi’s goal two minutes later.

Angel Busch made 22 saves in the shutout for the Wolverines (6-0-0, 3-0-0) while Myah Gabel made 15 saves for the Eagles (1-4-0, 0-3-0).

KEHRLI NETS PK WINNER

MAYVILLE — Rachel Kehrli scored on a penalty kick in the 60th minute as Frewsburg blanked Chautauqua Lake 1-0 in Central Division action.

Madison Voty made two saves for her fourth shutout of the year for the Bears (4-1-0, 2-0-0).
