Randolph, Portville Combine For 20 Goals

RANDOLPH — Combining for 20 goals, Randolph and Portville played a boys soccer game for the ages Monday.

Kaleb Steward had three goals and six assists as the Cardinals won the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division matchup 12-8.

Marcus Evans also had a hat trick while adding an assist for Randolph (5-4-0, 2-1-0) while Ty Rosengren had two goals and two assists. Single goals were scored by Omar Johnson, Brendan Good, Gage VanRensselaer and Matt Schultz. Ethan Shields had a pair of assists while Bryson Rozler also had an assist in the win.

For Portville (2-5-1, 0-3-0), Michael Cole had three goals while single tallies were scored by Trey Williams, Nathan Petryszak, Alex Wenke, Kirk Hall and Nick Harmon. Kyle Mathes, Todd Stone, Williams, Wenke and Matt Snyder each had an assist.

RED DRAGONS

BLANK KNIGHTS

SILVER CREEK — Nick Golando, Paul Maigne and Porter Demink scored first-half goals as Maple Grove topped Silver Creek 6-0 in Central Division play.

Brendan Hirliman, RJ Helt and Sam Eimiller found the net in the second half for the Red Dragons (9-0-0, 4-0-0). Tristan Spillane, Helt, Andrew Auer and Golando had assists in the win.

Jeremy Wilcox made 16 saves for the Black Knights (3-6-0, 0-4-0).

WOLVERINES

REMAIN PERFECT

WESTFIELD — Joshua Heim netted a hat trick as Westfield/Brocton beat North Collins 6-1 in Central Division action.

Jason Almeter, Dylan Scriven and Nathan Culbreth also scored for the Wolverines (9-0-0, 4-0-0). Darien Swanson had two assists while Heim, Culbreth and Almeter each had one.

MARAUDERS

TRIM WARRIORS

SALAMANCA — Trevor Skelly and Gus Mendoza each scored twice as Dunkirk beat Salamanca/Cattaraugus-Little Valley 4-3 in nonleague action.

Neland Cummings, Kohl Ambuske and Darec Funke scored for the Warriors (5-5-0, 1-2-0 CCAA East).

Tyler Karin had two assists and Brady Corbett had one for the Marauders (2-6-0, 0-3-0 CCAA West).

TALBOT’S GOAL

HOLDS UP

ALLEGANY — Bryant Talbot scored the lone goal in the sixth minute as Allegany-Limestone shut out Ellicottville 1-0 in an East Division matchup.

The Gators improved to 6-2-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the league while the Eagles fell to 5-5-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the division.
