Procknal Scores Twice, Silver Creek Downs MG, 3-1, In Girls Soccer

Kylie Procknal scored twice as Silver Creek beat Maple Grove, 3-1, in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Central Division girls soccer play Thursday night on Dutch Hollow Road.

Procknal scored unassisted in the ninth minute before Chloe Barrett made it 2-0 in the 26th minute from Rachael Beadle.

Maple Grove’s Courtney Martin scored from Ana Pavlock in the 30th minute to make it 2-1 at halftime, but Procknal added a second unassisted goal in the sixth minute of the second half.

Alina Beadle and Tessa Karcz combined for five saves for the Black Knights (4-2-0, 1-1-0) while Kasie Craig stopped 11 shots for the Red Dragons (2-4-0, 2-2-0).

WOLVERINES STAY UNDEFEATED

WESTFIELD — Katie Bodenmiller and Makena Barresi tallied second-half goals as Westfield/Brocton blanked Chautauqua Lake 2-0 in Central Division action.

Bodenmiller scored her 11th of the season from Sheala Barresi in the eighth minute of the second half before Makena Barresi put home her second of the season from Sheala Barresi in the 27th minute.

Angel Busch made 12 saves for her sixth shutout of the year for the Wolverines (7-0-0, 4-0-0).

The Thunderbirds fell to 3-3-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the league.

HUSKIES BLANK SOUTHWESTERN

OLEAN — Four different goal scorers sent Olean past Southwestern, 4-0, in West Division play.

After a scoreless first half, Alexis Gibbons scored unassisted; Rebecca Schneider tallied from Emily Gibbons, Addie Peer scored from Emily Gibbons and Leigha Peterson tallied unassisted for the Huskies (4-3-0, 1-2-0).

Micheyla Williams made four saves in the shutout.

The Trojans fell to 4-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the league.

HILL CARRIES WARRIORS

FRANKLINVILLE — Aly Hill scored a pair of goals to lead Salamanca to a 3-0 East Division win over Franklinville.

After a scoreless first half, Hill tallied from Rachel Chamberlain in the ninth minute of the second half. Twenty minutes later, Ryleigh John scored from Marla Warrior and just a minute later, Hill scored her ninth of the season from Chamberlain.

Holly McGonigle and Alexis Palmeri split 10 saves in net for Salamanca (6-3-0, 2-1-0).

Franklinville fell to 1-6-1 overall, including 0-2-1 in the league.

RUIZ, EDDY LIFT EAGLES

ELLICOTTVILLE — Emilee Ruiz scored a pair of goals to lead Ellicottville past Randolph 2-0 in East Division action.

Brooke Eddy made five saves for the Eagles (4-2-0, 3-0-0) while Miranda Waterman made 11 saves for the Cardinals (1-6-1, 1-1-1).

WELTY NETS OT WINNER

CATTARAUGUS — Karly Welty scored from Courtney Lyle in the 13th minute of overtime to send Portville to a 3-2 victory over Cattaraugus-Little Valley in an East Division contest.

The Panthers (3-2-1, 2-1-0) led 2-0 after 15 minutes of the first half on goals by Welty from Kendall Artlip and Olivia Dean from Teagan Kosinski.

The Timberwolves (3-5-0, 0-3-0) battled back as Alex Minnekine scored unassisted in the 30th minute and Emma Pocobello scored unassisted in the 78th minute.

Faith Capito made two saves for Portville and Izzy Deliman made 32 saves for Cattaraugus-Little Valley.

NORTH COLLINS EARNS SHUTOUT

SOUTH DAYTON — North Collins scored three second-half goals to beat Pine Valley 3-0 in Central Division play.

Maddie Turnbull scored from Robin Hidy, Rebecca Holmes tallied from Pia Froelich and Hidy scored unassisted for the Eagles (2-4-0, 1-3-0).

Myah Gabel made just one save in the shutout.

The Panthers fell to 0-6-0 overall and 0-3-0 in the league.
