Matco Wins Volleyball, Truck-Lite Takes Curling

In Monday’s YMCA Battle of the Businesses action, the Small Division teams competed in volleyball while Northwest Arena hosted the new curling event for the Large Division.
In volleyball at the Jamestown YMCA, Matco Tools defeated GA Family Services at Lutheran while Jamestown Bar Association and City Court went home in third place.
The winning squad included Brooke Colley, Rachel Anderson, Jorge Cruz, Ramon Pando, Jennifer Peck-Wells, Zach Baker, Cory Berardi and Bill Leonard.
Truck-Lite’s team of Greg Pond, Jarryd Pearson, Scott Troutman and Mike Saff were victorious in the first-ever curling event against second-place finisher The Resource Center with a final 40-24 score on the ice.
SKF took third-place honors.
Frewsburg Central School (573 points) and Matco Tools (473) remain the Battle leaders in the Large and Small Divisions.
Today’s Battle event is Large Division volleyball at the Jamestown YMCA starting at 5:45 p.m.
