JHS Swimmers Fall On Road

AMHERST — Williamsville East was a 113-59 winner over Jamestown in Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 swimming and diving on Tuesday.

The Red Raiders had 14 season-best times, with captain Sophia Simons doubling in the 200- (2:18.98) and 500-yard freestyles (6:09.62) with Section VI Class A qualifying times in both races. Also qualifying were Natalie Reinhart in the 100 backstroke (1:11.46) and Lindsey Spitz in the 100 breaststroke (1:19.28).

Rheese Maggio was uncontested in diving and succeeded in capturing a season-best score of 183.07.
