Jayhawks Split Pair Of Volleyball Matches In Ohio Invite
PERRYSBURG, Ohio — Jamestown Community College split its two matches Saturday at the Owens CC Invitational on Saturday.
The Jayhawks won their first match, downing Erie CC, 25-13, 25-21, 25-13, before falling to Hagerstown CC, 25-23, 25-21, 25-16.
Highlighting Jamestown CC’s victory against the Kats were Jenna Caskey with six aces, 13 kills and eight digs; Karleigh Haines with one ace, eight kills and five digs; Maddy Russo with four aces, 30 assists, two kills and five digs; Alexys Marsh with two assists, six kills, one dig and one block; and Megan Dominiak with eight kills.
In their loss to Hagerstown, the Jayhawks were led by Caskey with one ace, eight kills, seven digs and two blocks; Haines with one ace, nine kills, 12 digs and one block; Russo with one ace, 20 assists and eight digs; Jennah Starkweather with four kills, one dig and two blocks; and Cameryn Hawkins with one ace and 18 digs.
Jamestown CC (1-3) returns to action at 10 this morning when it meets Schoolcraft (Michigan) College, followed by an 11:45 a.m. match with McHenry County (Illinois) College.
