Jamestown Earns First Victory

Host Jamestown earned its first Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division tennis win of the year Thursday, topping Salamanca 3-2.

CeCe Eklum topped Brooke Kettle 6-0, 6-4 at first singles while Alayne Schobey was a three-set winner over Maegan Collins 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 to pace the Red Raiders (1-3, 1-2).

Emma Lightner won at third singles for the Warriors (0-4, 0-3).

HILLBILLIES STAY UNBEATEN

FREDONIA — Fredonia (5-0, 3-0) was a 3-2 winner over Chautauqua Lake (2-3, 0-2) in West Division action.

Kira Erikson and Elise Riedesel of Chautauqua Lake were 4-6, 6-0, 10-4 winners over Marissa Burr and Victoria Miller in the closest match of the day at first doubles.
