The Jamestown cross country program will host the 1-mile Cross Country Stampede on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Jamestown cross country course behind Strider Field at the Martin Road Athletic Complex.

The race is for students in grades 1-6. Preregistration costs $10 with checks payable to the Jamestown Cross-Country Boosters. Registration forms can be mailed to Bush Elementary School, c/o Cristin Hockenberry, 150 Pardee St., Jamestown, NY 14701. Sign-up will increase to $15 the day of the race.

The 1st and 2nd grade race will begin at 9:30 a.m.; the 3rd and 4th grade race will start at 9:55 a.m.; and the 5th and 6th grade race will start at 10:20 a.m.

The top 10 finishers in each race will win a T-shirt.
