Bush Industries Posts Volleyball Win In ‘Battle’
Bush Industries won the large division volleyball tournament at the Jamestown YMCA in Y Battle action Tuesday evening.
Bush Industries’ volleyball team of Blair Borst, Danielle Crane, Lance Deming, Rosie Feaster, Amy Hook, Dave Nowicki, Jeff Rupp and Chris Waclawski dominated the courts from the start. The squad finished the night by beating Cummins in a best-of-three match (21-13, 21-20, 15-11).
Falconer went home with third-place honors.
Overall, Falconer Central Schools (660) and Matco Tools (473) lead the large and small divisions, respectively,
The YMCA Battle continues this evening with the 800 medley relay at 6 p.m. and the predicted mile walk at 6:30 for both divisions at the Frewsburg track. The small division pool tournament at The Chadakoin Club at 104 West Second Street in Jamestown will also take place, starting at 5:30 p.m. while the Northwest Arena will host the new event of backyard curling for the small division at 6 p.m.
