Bryant, Scroxton Place In Top 20 In East Aurora

EAST AURORA — Two Southwestern runners finished in the top 20 at the East Aurora Invitational on Saturday.

Dagon Bryant posted a time of 16:18.94, good for 15th place, while Eddie Scroxton was four places back after recording a 16:26.12. The winner was Joshua Peron of Frontier (15:12.63).

The Trojans placed sixth as a team with 169 points. Silver Creek was 20th with 618 points, while Cattaraugus-Little Valley was 21st with 675 points. Lewisburg Area was the winner with 72 points.

In the girls race, Mallory Grubb of Amherst was the winner with a time of 18:15.24. Juliana Flick of Silver Creek finished 11th (19:56.53) and Jericha Petrella of Dunkirk was 12th (19:54.78).

East Aurora won the team girls title with 35 points, Silver Creek was ninth with 226 points and Cattaraugus-Little Valley was 17th with 406 points.
