Asquith Tour Hits Elkdale, Pine Acres

SALAMANCA — The Art Asquith Senior Golf Tour traveled to Elkdale Country Club this past week, with Shelly Grant leading White Flight A with a plus-10 and a 71 while Dave Young was plus-3, Sam Allesi minus-1 and Vern Ahlgren minus-1.

In White Flight B, Brian Blume shot an 84 and was plus-8. Ron Wilson was even as was Paul Edson.

In Gold Flight A, Brian Eckwahl was plus-8 with a 76. Norm Beigaj was plus-4 as was Larry Himelein.

In Gold Flight B, Bill Cross was plus-11 with a 79. Bill Krestler was plus-5, Rob Goat plus-2 and Joe Palermo plus-2.

In Gold Flight C, Jim E. Smith was plus-12 with an 85. Bill Radack was plus-9, John Depew plus-7 and Andy Scalise plus-7 while Greg Kraus also shot 85.

In Gold Flight D, Jim Wirges was plus-12, Dave Snyder plus-9 with a 91, and Clyde Mohl was plus-9.

Closest to the pin honors went to John Ames on No. 4, Keith Swanson on No. 9, Ames on No. 12 and Don Hustead on No. 16.


BRADFORD, Pa. — The Art Asquith Senior Golf Tour traveled to Pine Acres Golf Course two weeks ago, with White Flight A being led by Dave Young at plus-2 with a 76.

Randy Carlson was plus-2 and Sam Allesi finished at zero while in White Flight B Paul Edson was plus-8 with an 89, Scott Vogan minus-1, Bruce Blume minus-1 and Fran Dexter minus-1.

In Gold Flight A, Ross Cali was plus-6 with an 81, Keith Swanson was even and Jay Mengel was minus-1.

In Gold Flight B, Bill Hart was plus-3 with an 87, Ross Williams was plus-2, Bryan Champlin was plus-2 and Dennis Richards was plus-2.

In Gold Flight C, Dick Tyler was plus-4, Dan Kelly was plus-2 with a 93, and Bill Derby finished even.

In Gold Flight D, Sal Dicembre was plus-7 with a 97, Dick Kalfas was plus-7, Clyde Mohl was plus-6 and Ed Potter was plus-6.
