JCC Women Fall 8-1 In Return To Pitch

Jamestown Community College’s return to women’s soccer did not go as planned Saturday afternoon at the Physical Education Complex.

The Lady Jayhawks fell behind 3-0 at halftime before losing to North Country CC 8-1 in NJCAA Region 3 Division III action.

Nidia DeArmaYero scored four goals for the Saints while Jenny DeJung, Cassie Norton, Coryn Young and Skyelin Bradford each added single tallies in the victory.

Falconer graduate Corinne Wilcox scored the lone goal for Jamestown CC with an assist from her former high school teammate Sam Kianos.

The Lady Jayhawks managed just four shots on goal.

Kaylee Crisanti and Hannah Sholl each played a half in net for Jamestown CC, combining for 20 saves.

The Lady Jayhawks return to action this afternoon at 1 p.m. against Clinton CC at the Physical Education Complex.
