Benish Shines At WNYPGA Pro-Am

WELLSVILLE — Matt Stasiak of Battistoni Golf Center took home the Wellsville Country Club Pro-Am event in recent Western New York PGA action, finishing at 4-under-par with a 34-33-67.

Kyle Benish of Holiday Valley Resort fired a 35-33-68 to finish in a second-place tie; John Rook of Conewango Valley Country Club shot a 38-34-72 to finish in a tie for ninth at 1-over-par; and Jack Widger of Elkdale Country Club shot a 39-36-75 to finish in 14th place.

Rook also took home the Pro-Am team event with Butch Calcotte, Chris Bartoo and Devon Ferguson, finishing at 21-under-par while Benish was joined by Jake Swan, Adam Ditcher and Pat Langworthy in second place at 20-under.

Widger was joined by Thomas Hennessy, Ed Tezak and Clint Gilker to finish at 13-under-par in a tie for 14th place.
