9-10 NON-SANCTIONED TOURNAMENT

Gavin Curtis threw a complete-game one-hitter with seven strikeouts to lead Falconer to a 13-2 win over Randolph.

Falconer collected five hits and six walks in the first inning, highlighted by Erik Stenstrom’s double and triple, to jump out to a 10-0 lead. Stenstrom finished with three hits and three runs scored. Curtis added two hits with a triple to help his own cause.

Gavin Senn led off the game with a single for Randolph’s only hit.

Falconer secured the No. 1 seed in Area B and will face the No. 2 seed from Area A at LaGrega Field on Tuesday. Frewsburg is the No. 2 seed in Area B and will travel to Dunkirk on Tuesday to play the No. 1 seed from Area A.

11-12 NON-SANCTIONED TOURNAMENT

Southwestern scored five runs in the first inning and pulled away for a 10-4 win over Falconer to clinch the No. 1 seed in Area B.

In the first inning, Chase Hartnett and Kyler Wojtowicz had back-to-back singles. A pair of walks and a Judd Harris two-run single eventually led to five runs.

Southwestern scored five more runs over the final five innings. Wojtowicz went 3 for 4 while Judd Harris and Hartnett were both 2 for 4. Seth Vaughn had a two-out, two-run single in the third inning.

On the mound, Vaughn allowed two runs and struck out five in three innings. Judd Harris allowed two runs over the final three innings, striking out two and fielding four of the final nine outs.

Jacob Roth was 2 for 3 with a double and two runs scored while Jackson Lillie struck out four in three innings on the mound for Falconer, which finished with the No. 2 seed in Area B.

Area A No. 1 Fredonia will host Falconer at 6 p.m. Tuesday while Southwestern and Area A No. 2 Brocton-Portland will play at 6 p.m. that same night in Randolph.

The championship game will be Thursday at 6 p.m. in Fredonia.
