Randolph Toymaker Fourth Annual 5K FUNdraiser Set For Saturday, July 27

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Toymaker fourth annual 5K FUNdraiser will be held at Weeden Park on Saturday, July 27 at 9 a.m., rain or shine.

A small but dedicated group of volunteers has already produced over 900 toys in the past six weeks in their mission to ensure that children receive a simple wooden toy made with love and care. The toys are distributed around Western New York through emergency responders, churches and shelters across the globe by mission teams and volunteers.

The fundraiser has become the main source of cash flow to purchase the supplies needed to keep the toymakers in business, with all of the race funds going to paint, wheels, brushes, sandpaper and saw blades.

Race participants can walk or run the scenic course and all will be invited to the picnic to follow.

Donations are always appreciated, with funds also coming from generous benefactors over the years including Cummins, The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, East Randolph United Methodist Church, Lynn Development, RACDC, Rand Machine, Register Graphics and countless other individuals.

All participants will receive a finisher medal and certificate with T-shirts being given out to the first 100 that sign up by Thursday. Volunteers are still needed for race day.

Participants can register online at www.CoachMarkWilson.com or print a paper registration form off of the website or the group’s Facebook page and mail it in. Adults pay $20 pre-registration or $30 on race day. Kids 17-and-under pay only $10.

The East Randolph Methodist Church is sponsoring the toymakers. If you would like a receipt for your tax-deductible donation please make your check out to the “East Randolph United Methodist Church” with Toymakers in the memo line.
