Maple Grove’s Swanson, Panama’s Harvey Honored

Maple Grove senior first baseman Elise Swanson was named the Player of the Year while Panama sophomore Ashlyn Harvey was named Pitcher of the Year as Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 West softball released its all-star teams.
Swanson was joined on the First Team by senior pitcher Lynne Nordin, senior left fielder Clare Crossley and senior catcher Meghann Nolan from Maple Grove. Other Panthers on the First Team included senior shortstop Maci Johnson and senior third baseman Abi Lisciandro.
Forestville placed three players on the First Team including junior catcher Phoebe Kingsfield, junior shortstop Clare Kingsfield and junior first baseman/third baseman Lille Gould.
Brocton junior catcher Jenelle Grigelevich and junior pitcher Megan Gloss were joined on the First Team by Sherman sophomore shortstop Amaya Lewczyk and Westfield eighth-grade catcher Haleigh Dellow.
Red Dragons on the Second Team included senior third baseman Sammy Davis, senior right fielder Sarah Berg and eighth-grader shortstop Erin Mansfield.

Panama Second Team players included junior center fielder Jessica Mistretta, sophomore catcher Marra Hovey and freshman second baseman Ava Morton.
Forestville junior pitcher Kaitlyn Alguire and senior second baseman Rachael Goodrich were joined by Brocton sophomore third baseman Makenna Honey and sophomore shortstop Juli Smith. Sherman senior pitcher Rowan Fisher, Westfield junior shortstop Abbi Warner and Clymer junior catcher Rebecca Linton rounded out the Second Team.
Forestville won the Team Sportsmanship Award and Maple Grove’s Rebecca Allen was named Coach of the Year.
Individual Sportsmanship Award winners were Nordin, Morton, Clare Kingsfield, Brocton’s Christine Wdowiasz, Fisher, Warner and Clymer’s Kate Honey.
