The first Wally Holmes Charity Golf Scramble will be held Saturday, June 29 at Maplehurst Country Club. All proceeds will benefit the Wally Holmes Scholarship Fund, which was created to help provide local high school golfers the resources to pursue the game at the next level. The two-person-team scramble, which will have a 1 p.m. shotgun start, will include prizes, contests, hors d’oeuvres, open bar and entertainment. Entry deadline is June 24.
