The Southern Tier Regulators squandered a six-run seventh-inning lead, but rallied in extra innings to beat Full Circuit Power, 8-7, at Diethrick Park on Wednesday.

Full Circuit took an 8-7 lead in the top of the eighth inning before the Regulators walked off with a win. Nick Crandall doubled with one out in the eighth before Anthony Gullo walked. Two pitches later, Evan Pirtz tripled to left field sending both runners home for the victory.

Nate Engdahl went 3 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored while Crandall had a double, a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Aaron Hair also tripled and drove in two runs while Austyn “Yucky” Cummings went 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Lucas Willink threw five innings of five-hit, one-run ball, striking out one. Hair and Crandall both threw a scoreless inning of relief, combining for three strikeouts.

Southern Tier took a 2-0 lead in the second inning as Hair tripled home Morrison and Trey Swartz. In the third, Engdahl singled home Jacob Payne and Cummings singled home Lance Baldensperger. Later in the inning, Crandall’s RBI triple scored Cummings.

In the sixth, the Regulators went up 7-1 on Morrison’s two-run single that plated Engdahl and Cummings.

Southern Tier will return to action this weekend when it takes part in the Slippery Rock (Pa.) Showcase Tournament.

Panama’s Neil’s Propane defeated Randolph’s Peaches and Cream.

Panama’s offensive standout was Renee Raynor, who had a triple. Offensively for Frewsburg, Mallory Smallback led the way.

Panama’s defensive standout was Chloe Meadows and for Frewsburg it was Hailey Farmer.

PLAYOFFS

Lions Club topped True Value, 7-5, as Ryan Engquist led the winners with a triple.

Engquist also pitched three innings, striking out nine and walking three in the win while Carter Rizzuto was 2 for 3 with a double and a triple. Tristan Brandow pitched two innings in the win and struck out six while Ryan Golden reached base twice and played great defense.

For True Value, Blake Smith was 2 for 3 with a home run while Hunter Dominick, Sam Lisciandro and Gage Delahoy singled.
