SOUTHERN TIER BABE RUTH SOFTBALL

MINORS

Falconer Southern Tier Dentistry defeated Bemus Point Heritage, with Finley Darr earning eight strikeouts in three innings for the winners. Addison Calimeri had a pair of hits with a two-run home run for Falconer and was walked twice, while Alexis Abbey had three hits and shined as catcher.

Genevieve Sellstrom had a strong defensive game for Bemus Point.

MAJORS

Southwestern Avery Olson Law Firm was an 8-7 winner over Falconer’s RS Motors/Rock City.

Hannah Melquist, Emily Rhinehart and Myloe Zaranek led Falconer in the circle while Katrina Schrantz shined on offense.

Audrina Olson and Aly Dalton led the Southwestern offense while Rebekah Wilson and Mary Gerace were defensive MVPs.

JAMESTOWN

BABE RUTH 13-15

The Jock Shop defeated the Eagles, 8-6.

The Eagles scored in the first inning on an RBI single by Sean O’Brien. The Jock Shop scored two runs in the second as Darius Freeney hit a double and a hit batsman came in on a double from Hudson Knapp.

The Eagles plated five runs in the third on two errors and hits by Chris Navaro, Joseph Roehmholdt and Jacob Thompson to take a 6-2 lead. In the fifth, Cam-Ron Mays led off with a single, Cole Joly singled and Charles Root had an RBI single. Colin Melendez walked to load the bases for Kameron Melendez, who took a 3-2 pitch deep to left center for a three-run triple to make it 7-6.

Colin Melendez added an RBI single in the seventh. Kameron pitched the last four innings and gave up no runs, one hit, two walks and had seven strikeouts in the win.

ROOKIES

Chautauqua Lake Country Ayre Farms won again against Bemus Point Chautauqua Hydroseeding on Saturday.

Defensively, Kara Feldt stood out for Chautauqua Lake and offensively Makennah Ryberg had a strong performance.

Arianna McGraw stood out defensively and Margaret Ryan was the offensive MVP for Bemus Point.

TEE-BALL

Ecklof’s Bakery battled Elks Lodge, with Martin Bucklin leading the offense and Ethan Ecklof the defense for Ecklof’s.

Travis Ostrander shined on offense and Miguel Luna on defense for Elks Lodge.
