SOUTHERN TIER GIRLS BABE RUTH SOFTBALL

MAJORS DIVISION

Madison Potter shined on offense and Bella Wright stood out defensively as Cynde B. Photography of Jamestown beat J.R. Forestry of Sherman, 24-20.

For Sherman, Erin Murphy was the top offensive player and Kelsey Wagner was the top defensive player.

MINORS DIVISION

Layla Anderson, Jessica Lyon and Reese Short shined offensively as Neil’s Propane of Panama topped Lockwood Agency of Jamestown.

Brooke Warner and Lyon were top defensive players in the win.

Gracelynn Reedy and Emily Maggio shined on offense while Mia DelPozzo and Caylee Carlson stood out defensively for Lockwood Agency.

Anna Conley and Leia Taylor each had two hits for Spectrum Eye Care of Southwestern in a 6-6 tie with Peaches and Cream of Randolph.

Southwestern’s Molly Colburn caught a line drive to preserve the tie game.

For Randolph, Mallory Smallback shined on offense while Brooke Reding stood out defensively.

Makenna Johnson had two hits and shined defensively as Spectrum Eye Care of Southwestern topped Lockwood Agency of Jamestown.

Addison Nuccio also stood out defensively for Southwestern.

Kelsey Chapman led the way offensively and Zoey Shimmel shined on defense for Jamestown.

ROOKIES DIVISION

Marisela Reyes-Abbey scored three times as the Dinner Bell of Frewsburg beat Southwestern’s Lakewood United Methodist Church, 15-12.

Brionna Constantino caught a fly ball to lead Frewsburg’s defense.

For Lakewood United Methodist, the top defensive player was Cameron Case while Mayah Reyes went 5 for 6 at the plate.

JAMESTOWN CAL RIPKEN

MAJORS DIVISION

JTA swept a doubleheader from Lena’s, 6-1 and 2-0.

In Game 1, Chase Bonta had two hits, including a double and Jorge Rivera had a triple for JTA. Meyer Talbett, Kyle Falkowski and Owen Glover each added a hit in the win.

Reed Slade and Anthony Blakesee had hits for Lena’s.

In the second game, Mike Patric and Conner Degnan had hits for JTA.

Kolden McCall had the only hit for Lena’s.

TEE-BALL DIVISION

Ayden Faulkner was the top offensive player and Jack Nelson stood out on defense for Jeremy’s Bel-View in a game against Kallie’s Krusade.

Leon Lussier shined on offense while Payton Sell was the top defensive player for Kallie’s Krusade.

CITY SLO-PITCH

A-Bat improved to 5-1 with a pair of wins.

In the first game, Shaun Rizzo had four hits and Bill Lawson had three hits, including a home run, as A-Bat topped Jose 360.

Manny Sanchez and Tim Niedert each had two home runs, Doug Trapani had two doubles and Andy Gee had two hits.

Torrey Means led Jose 360 with two hits, including a home run.

A-Bat then beat Pro Finishing, 8-6, with Ryan Anderson and Jon Barlow each having two hits, including a home run. Doug Trapani and Steve Trapani each had two hits, including a double, while Sean Chapman and Tyler Jones each added two hits.

Joe Lombardo and Glen Dickerson each had two hits for Pro Finishing.

JAMESTOWN 13-15 BABE RUTH

Caleb Bane struck out eight to lead D&S Glass to a 5-3 win over JACAFU.

Bane also went 2 for 2 with two RBIs and Alex LaTone added a double.

Ayden Bonta went 2 for 2 with a double while Juan Matos struck out seven on the mound for JACAFU.
