Youth Baseball Roundup

Chase Haglund of Frewsburg had three hits in as many at-bats, including a pair of home runs over the center-field fence, to lead the Erie Outlaws 11U Black team to victory in the Darien Lake Tournament in Buffalo recently. CITY REC BASEBALL

The Affinity Federal Credit Union Blue Jays posted a pair of wins.

On Thursday, Nick Martin (double) and Hannah Higgs (triple, double) both had three hits and Travis Yates (double) added two as the Blue Jays defeated the Cellular One Tigers, 13-5.

For the Tigers, Ryan Knepp (double) led the way with three hits, and Catherine Farnsworth and Kristen Farnsworth chipped in two apiece.

Last Saturday, the Blue Jays edged the Astros, 11-10.

Justin Martin belted two home runs and a double, and Caleb Webster (two doubles) added three hits for the winners.

Donivin Carraher had a home run and a single, and Jerico Thaggard had two doubles and a single for the Astros.

Cooper Doud and Parker Norlander combined for eight strikeouts as Bloomquist Landscaping held on for a 7-6 win over Precision Engine & Machine.

Norlander had a two-run triple in the fifth inning to push the Bloomquist lead to five. Chase Bianco added a single and two runs scored while Doud and Gabe Delahoy added singles.

Branston Lindquist and Jon Neid combined to only allow four hits while striking out 11 for Precision. Jesse Davis led the offense with three hits while Alex Nutt drilled two hits with a triple. Neid, Erik Stenstrom, and Zavyer Mayr each had two hits.
