Red Raiders Suffer Road Loss To Frontier

HAMBURG — In the final Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 contest of the season, Frontier (8-8, 7-5) was an 18-0 winner over Jamestown (5-11, 2-10).

Conner Eisenmann fanned five and walked one in five innings while Tyler Hepinstall struck out five the rest of the way as the pair combined for a three-hitter.

Ben Taylor led the winners with three singles.

Jayden Schultz, Nolan Scoma and Jonah Tonkin split duties on the hill for Jamestown.

EAGLES FALL

ELLICOTTVILLE — Josh Rice singled with one out and eventually scored the winning run on an error to lift North Collins to a 4-3 victory over Ellicottville in a Division 2 East game.

Tyler Mathis and Christian Loretto shared the pitching duties for the winners.

Lucas Marsh tossed a complete game for the Eagles and helped his own cause with an RBI single, but the hosts couldn’t get the big hit — they left the bases loaded twice — to fall to 5-10 overall and 3-7 in the division.

Ryan DeKay had two hits and Steven Rowland smacked a double for the Eagles.
