Gruber, Schuppenhauer, Crist All Win Two Events As MG Rolls

Elsa Gruber, Marisa Schuppenhauer and Ava Crist were all double winners as Maple Grove beat Randolph in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 girls track and field on Tuesday at Maple Grove Junior-Senior High School.

Gruber won the 100-meter hurdles (18.8) and 400-meter hurdles (1:20.7), Schuppenhauer captured the long jump (13-8.25) and triple jump (30-1.75), and Crist claimed the 400 meters (1:04.6) and 3,000 meters (12:00.6) for the Red Dragons (4-0).

Maple Grove took first place in every event but the discus.

ODELL TRIPLES FOR WOLFPACK

FREWSBURG — Clymer/Sherman/Panama was an 83-50 Division 3 winner over host Frewsburg (0-4, 0-4).

Kylee Odell claimed the 1,500 meters (5:23.3), 800 meters (2:31.6) and the long jump (13-5), and was also part of the Wolpack’s winning 3,200-meter team.

Cydney Amoroso earned wins in the 100 meters (13.2) and the 200 meters (27.8); Kylie Schnars took home the 100-meter hurdles (16.3) and the shot put (33-0); and Karianne Yuchnitz won the high jump (4-10) and triple jump (29-7) to lead the winners.

Cassidy Allen claimed wins in the 100 meters (13.0), 200 meters (28.2), triple jump (31-4.25) and pole vault (9-0) while Kayla Allen claimed the high jump (4-4), long jump (14-11.75) and 400-meter hurdles (1:18) for the Trojans.

Katja Kranzo added wins in the 100-meter hurdles (17.3) and 800 meters (2:33) for Southwestern.

CATTARAUGUS — Salamanca was a 102-38 winner over Cattaraugus-Little Valley in Division 2 behind a double-win performance by Mushirah Sheppard.

Sheppard claimed wins in the pole vault (10-0) and long jump (15-2) while teammate Holly McGonigle won the shot put (28-.5) and discus (67-9.5).

Jem Yarbour claimed the 100-meter hurdles (19.3) and the high jump (4-8) for the Warriors.

Summer Harper won the 1,500 meters (5:47.0) and the 800 meters (2:52.8) for the hosts while Lauren Eaton grabbed wins in the 100 meters (13.0) and the 200 meters (28.4).
