Rebels Will Square Off With NJ In First Round

In their first season in the city, the Jamestown Rebels will be bringing playoff hockey to Northwest Arena.

The North American Hockey League confirmed first-round playoff dates for the Rebels on Tuesday.

Locked into the East Division’s No. 2 seed, Jamestown will take on No. 3 New Jersey in a best-of-five, first-round series.

The Rebels will host the Titans in Game 1 on Friday, April 12 and Game 2 on Saturday, April 13 at 7:05 p.m. at Northwest Arena.

Game 3 will take place Friday, April 19 at Middletown Ice World and an if-necessary Game 4 will be the following night, Saturday, April 20 in Middletown.

The times for those games are TBA.

If the series is tied, Game 5 will be Monday, April 22 at 7:05 p.m. back in Jamestown.

The other East Division semifinal will feature No. 1 Johnstown against the No. 4 seed. Currently, the Northeast Generals are fourth in the division with 56 points and pair of games remaining against New Jersey this weekend. The Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights are currently in fifth place with 53 points and a pair of games against the last-place Maryland Black Bears yet to play this weekend.

Jamestown will wrap up the regular season with a pair of games against Johnstown this weekend at Northwest Arena. Games Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m. will be part of Fan Appreciation Weekend. Fans 18 years or older are eligible for a prize of $500 if they attend both games. The Rebels will also have other free giveaways, prizes and more. Following Friday night’s game there will be an open skate with the players.
