PANAMA — Panama (2-1, 2-1) left Wednesday’s CCAA Division 2 West softball game with Sherman (0-3, 0-2) with a 13-0 shutout victory.

Ashlyn Harvey struck out 10, walked one and gave up two hits in a complete-game win and also cracked a two-run homer over the fence in the fifth to lead the Panthers’ offense.

Amaya Lewczyk fanned eight batters, walked four and gave up four hits for Sherman.

COUGARS FALL TO KNIGHTS

SINCLAIRVILLE — Silver Creek earned its first win of the year on Wednesday, a 10-6 victory over host Cassadaga Valley and is now 1-3 on the year and 1-3 against CCAA Division 1 West opponents.

Julia Hill led the winners with 12 strikeouts and three walks.

Stevie Cook was 3 for 4 in the win with a double, Andrea Olsen 3 for 4 and Kiera Brennan 2 for 2.

Brittyn LeBaron struck out seven and helped her own cause with a double; Hannah Edwards was 3 for 4 with a triple and Holly Crandall was 2 for 4 with a triple for Cassadaga Valley (0-5, 0-4).

CARDS PREVAIL

RANDOLPH — Randolph (5-1, 2-1) was a 6-0 winner over Pine Valley (1-1, 1-1) in CCAA Division 2 East action with Abby Mansfield leading the way in the circle, striking out three and walking one in a complete-game, three-hit performance.

Mansfield added two hits, as did Kyra Pence, while Mya Abrams collected two singles and a double, and Megan Steward a single and a double in the win.

Haley Pillard led the Panthers in the circle.

BEARS ROLL

NORTH COLLINS — Frewsburg (5-1, 2-0) was a 14-1 winner over North Collins (2-5, 0-1).

Makena Adams struck out nine, walked four and gave up four hits while also going 3 for 3 with four RBIs at the plate.

Kiah Johnson added three hits, including a double and a homer, and three RBIs while Peyton Yost cracked a single and a two-run double.

Emily Winter belted a home run in defeat.

FALCONER TRIMS DUNKIRK

DUNKIRK — Falconer (3-1, 3-1) scored six runs in the final two innings on the way to an 8-6 win over Dunkirk (2-1, 1-1) in Division 1 West action.

Nicole Youngberg smacked an RBI triple in the win for Falconer, giving her team a cushion late in the game.

Ashley Gotowka and Monica Pokoj shared time in the circle for Dunkirk.
